Minnehaha County Search & Rescue
The Minnehaha County Search and Rescue was formed in 1970. The agency
purchased one of the first “Jaws of Life” Hurst Rescue tools. The unit responds
and assists rural volunteer agencies in Minnehaha County and the
region during emergency or disaster situations. Current services include: A
search and rescue team, Dive Team, Sky Warn, Traffic Control to Law enforcement,
Support to rural structure fires and other services as required by
the incident.
